2017: SocialOwl's Year In Review

2017 was a big year for us here at SocialOwl. We have a lot to be thankful for; our families, friends, and of course our licensees. Without you, we would not have been able to make all of the updates to our platform and of course, would not have seen the level of success that we have enjoyed. 

Time flies and it's hard to believe that there are only a few days left in the year. We thought it might be nice to highlight some of the achievements that we've been able to reach this past year. These updates have helped our current licensees achieve success more easily and excite those of you considering starting a social media management business of your own.

  • Post Approval - Sometimes, when you're managing several businesses social media strategies, you just need to bring someone on board to help fill your content calendar. We created the ability for our licensees to approve posts from their agents before they are published in order to ensure quality control.

  • Expanded Shopping Cart Functionality - SocialOwl gives businesses the opportunity to sell their products online with a digital shopping cart. We've made many enhancements to this feature in 2018 including, but not limited to:

    1. Apply tax on a per-item basis or default to one tax percentage across all products.

    2. Set an inventory for products and email alerts when inventory gets low. 

    3. Include Google directions for delivery orders.

    4. Add a return policy.

    5. Option to include a tip line at the check out page for customers to leave a tip before completing the payment process.
  • Expanded Capabilities and Customization of Deals and Sweepstakes Tools -

    1. Additional information can be added to the deals that get sent to customers including the business name, business information/description, terms & conditions, a logo or image to be included with the earned deal.

    2. More custom fields for additional data collection including birthday, poll questions and more.
       
  • Upload and Post Video Files - We've added the ability for users to upload and post videos directly from SocialOwl to Facebook and Twitter accounts.

  • Search and Post - This new feature allows our licensees and their clients to search for articles with keywords to post more relevant content.

  • Advanced Analytics - We've rolled out new social media and platform reporting to our licensees with deeper analytic information. Users have the ability to customize, save and export reports, create their own reports, and even analyze data about deals, sweepstakes, and content banners built on the platform.

  • Coupon Codes for Billing - Our licensees already had the ability to collect client payments directly from their platform. This year, we added the ability to create and attach percentage and/or dollar amount coupon codes to their plans and prices. This makes 

The above is just a small sample of the many updates SocialOwl has made in 2017. This, of course, does not include the many additional training, sales, and marketing resources that we've compiled over the year. We look forward to many more updates and improvements in 2018 and beyond.
