2016: SocialOwl's Year In Review

2016 was a big year for us here at SocialOwl. We have a lot to be thankful for; our families, friends, and of course our licensees. Without you, we would not have been able to make all of the updates to our platform and of course, would not have seen the level of success that we have enjoyed. 

Time flies and it's hard to believe that there are only a few days left of the year. We thought it might be nice to highlight some of the achievements that we've been able to reach. We hope that these updates have helped our current licensees achieve success more easily and excite those of you considering starting a social media management business of your own.

  • Pinterest! - We've successfully connected with Pinterest so that our users can schedule or instantly post to their Pinterest boards. 

  • Improved Analytics - Our licensees and their clients can now see how many times their deals were viewed, sent, and redeemed, how many sweepstakes were viewed and entered, and how many times their content banners were viewed, subscribed to, and downloaded from. We will be launching more robust reporting for their social media accounts in the first weeks of 2017.

  • Online Shopping Cart - We've made too many updates to our online shopping cart tool to count. Some of the updates include: the ability to offer a shopping cart for online businesses as well as brick-and-mortar shops, the ability to have item-based shipping prices, and including multiple images instead of just one per product. We have LOTS of additional updates coming in the following days and weeks.
  • Seamless Billing Integration - We provided our licensees with the option to collect payments directly from their customers right from their platform with our Stripe billing integration. Recent updates include the ability to create a coupon codes for pricing promotions/sales, tax, and more!

  • Expanded Price and Package Options  - Our licensees can add up to 6 different plans each of which can be customized with different offerings and prices.

  • New Permission Options for Sales Agents - Our licensees' can now determine whether or not their sales agents (or account executives) can add businesses, login to businesses, and access the prospecting tool - all of which provides greater control how they can leverage the platform.

  • Constant Contact & MailChimp Integrations - Licensees can now link their preferred email marketing accounts to their SocialOwl platform so that anyone who fills out their contact form goes directly into said account. This removes the need to export and import those same contacts. Businesses also have the ability to connect their Constant Contact or MailChimp account to collect contacts directly from their deals, sweepstakes, and content banner promotions.

  • Expanded RSS Feeds for all Businesses  - We've generated a more comprehensive and updated list of RSS feeds spanning several pertinent topics for businesses to use to post to their social media accounts.

  • Multiple Image Uploads - We made it possible to upload and post multiple images at once.

The above is just a small sample of the many updates SocialOwl has made in 2016. This, of course, does not include the many additional training, sales, and marketing materials we've compiled over the year. We look forward to many more updates and improvements in 2017 and beyond.
