New Year, New Resolutions

January 5th, 2017

It's hard to believe that another year has come and gone. 2016 was good to us here at SocialOwl, and we've worked hard to pay it forward to all of our licensees. It's been one whole year since we outlined our 2016 resolutions (the first of which was to launch a blog). Some other resolutions we nailed include:

  • Integrate a new billing option for our resellers to seamlessly collect, bill, and account for payments powered by Stripe
Done and done. We even added some new features, options, and customizations as the year wore on!

  • Exercise more
    ...does exercising our minds count?

  • Connect to more social media platforms
We were thrilled to have connected to Pinterest in 2016. Next up: Instagram!

  • Eat healthier
Collectively, we did pretty well with this.

  • Learn a new language
We've done more translations of websites in 2016 than ever before! On a personal level, Justin has been working on his French while Brian has been learning new coding.

  • Travel more
Members of the SocialOwl team have visited places far and wide... Washington D.C., London, and Italy's Amalfi Coast chief among them.

The above are, of course, a small sample of the many updates we did end up making in 2016. Here are some of our goals for 2017:

  • Roll-out an updated, more robust analytics/reporting tool

  • Add the ability to post to Instagram

  • Exercise more (maybe we'll get it this year)

  • Create a SocialOwl app so licensees can post on the go

  • Make sweeping updates to the social ordering / online shopping cart feature including adding options promo codes at check out, the option to add "related items", and more

  • Enjoy the great outdoors

  • Expand upon connection/posting error messaging to notify licensee's of potential posting issues and resolve without zero service interruption

  • Add ability to upload video files to post to Facebook and Twitter

  • Do more networking and make new friends and acquaintances

Those are some of our resolutions for the new year. We look forward to continuing to provide the best possible products and services to our licensees and partners. What are some of yours new year's resolutions?
